I’m still working on this image and thought I would show the step by step progress on future blogs. This image is based on a photograph I took in 2010 while at a trade show in New York City.

I really like your cityscapes, John. They are complicated and interesting.
Thanks Connie!
Well this is darker again. Great image though! On “Wicked” which is a musical Elaine and I love. . . Norbert Leo Butz who won a Tony for his leading male role in Wicked is the brother of one my son’s friends from St. Louis. Kirsten Kassebaum ( also from St. Louis) who took over the role of Glenda after Christen Chinoweth left the original cast is the niece of one my dearest friends. Small world meets the big stage. You are so right , New York has so many images to work with . . . not at all simple but compelling and interesting. There, I’m back to responding on the fly!
Thanks for stopping by my blog Glenn. It is a small world sometimes. Enjoy the Weddings.
Eager to see the finished piece, but just what you have here…I would save a version just as it is. There’s something about the “gritty” texture, the grainy feel, contrasted with your placement of the brightest lights. It really captures something very appealing! I’m going to follow you, because you have a great blog!
Thanks for your comments and for following me. Sorry for the delay getting back to you, I have ,along with other artists, been helping a talented artist get through a crisis.
