This is a portrait of Mark Twain that I created in 1971 ,using felt tip markers and white paint on tracing paper.I was employed by Maritz Motivation Company. This illustration was created for H.J.Heinz Company and was printed on a brochure that was mailed to their employees to announce a “Salesman Sweepstakes” . Below is a painting of a steamboat that was used on the cover of the brochure. The portrait appeared on the interior of the brochure along with a bio of Mark Twain and rules to the sweepstakes. The grand prize was a trip to New Orleans.
