Ink and Watercolor drawing of a model named Tory

I selected this illustration to be placed in a source book directory during the 1990’s along with three other pen and ink illustrations.A source book is a directory of the work of many illustrators throughout the United States and other countries. These directories are distributed  to art buyers at advertising agencies, corporations and magazines. An advertisement in these books is expensive. Sometimes they worked for me and sometimes they didn’t. This one didn’t. I liked this illustration. It could have been the subject matter that clients couldn’t relate to. Below is an oil painting of the model that I painted during a painting session attended by other illustrators.I took a photo of the model named Tory and used it for the pen and ink illustration.
