model painting stage one

This is an oil painting on corrugated board from of a model posing at the St. Louis Artists’ Guild which was begun two weeks ago. This first session was two hours. First I block in the large shapes with a two inch brush and then I continue to paint smaller shapes with smaller brushes. I don’t look a eyes mouth and nose but I look at color shapes in the model.
